Founded in 2016 by Lara Maju and her partner Lars, coco schwarz was created as a clean and minimalist workspace, dedicated to tattooing. The focus has always been on clarity, calm, and intention - both in the environment and in the work.

Over the years, we’ve worked with residents and international guest artists who have become friends and ongoing collaborators, shaping the studio in quiet, meaningful ways.

Today, coco schwarz is a private space for Lara’s practice. While there are currently no resident artists, the studio remains open to future developments.

The space continues to shift and grow - naturally, quietly, in its own rhythm. What stays is its core: a thoughtful place for focused work.
